That seems to "soften" your initial posting a little bit.
But Larry Hollibaugh and others said it best in some of the other posts in this thread.
A low starting bid creates "traffic" to a site... and as long as there is not bidder colusion (sp?) I think it is the best way to go.
Example - If I see a chip listed for $95 and still no bidders after 4-5 days - I generally won't even bother to click on it. To me, that's a sign that the chip is probably over priced and not worth my time to look at. But, if I see a chip on my "search results" page that is priced at $27 and has had 3 or 4 bids, THAT'S a chip that is probably worth a look at.
It's all just strategy and opinion but it's quite a leap to go from 'low opening bid' to 'dishonest seller'.
