I use Photoshop to scan my chips. I scan a bunch and then use the "crop" to reduce the image to a single chip, do a "save as" to save the image, then use the "undo" button to restore the original scan and move on to the next chip. I do not think there is an easy way to automate this process. It might be possible to write software to do it but it is beyond my ability.
