From the "Art" persective it's a very cool chip and I would actually like to see more chips like that, if they are billed as "Art Chips". It is kind of nice to add the art side of it to the hobby, for me anyway. As long as it doesn't evolve into the "Chip/Dice Jewlery" that is already out there....so to me the price is a good one...a way to establish a nice spread between between a cheap or average price to a "Hey, it's cool ,it's art, it's one of kind" price. Maybe if it's done right and the demand like you say is there then it could be another nice addition to the hobby....as long as everything is done and advertised up front.
