I discovered that a lot of the new scanners and/or copiers will not do certain colors. I have a Dell and a Canon. The Canon does everything perfectly, but the Dell refused to do vivid colors at all. They usually just come out white. There is nothing you can do about it except to test the scanner before you purchase it with colors that seem to be problems for these new scanners. A very hot pink is a good one that they don't seem to like.
