One common mistake that I've observed is when people are playing deuces wild and hold a high card. Don't do it! Three aces pays the same as three fives...there's no live opponent whose had you're trying to beat.
When playing a game with no wild cards, 2 pairs pays the same as a pair of jacks (or higher). If you're dealt a high pair plus a low pair, save both pairs if a full house pays 9 or more per coin in. If the full house pays 8 or less, hold just the high pair.
Play at the level that you can afford to play max coins.
