They were wrapped in stacks of 25... and they do say VIA AIR MAIL - CARREO AEREO - PAR AVION. They were a Woolworth product; priced at $1.69.

I think it was a good deal... a thousand envelopes for $5.25 (even if I can't use them) grin

You can always write lots of letters to ....
Use them to wrap up chips that go inside a bubble
