You raise some good points. One problem or something everyone is taking for granted, there are just not enough great chips out there to slab.

Yes, I suppose the so called R-7 or lower as they are referred to may have a number available to slab. However, the real 1 or 2 of a kind, are they really going to leave their owners collection to get slabbed? I seriously doubt that.

Assume for a minute they do, so what? If someone wants to pay an absurd price for a chip, they will regardless if it’s slabbed or not. I think we have seen that in the last few years from certain players.

IMO the entire slabbing issue is just another hobby gimmick like LE chips.
