Another part of your solution might be to host the photos and videos (or at least part of them) on a site like photobucket.com that doesn't meter bandwidth for premium accounts. Photobucket's $25 per year account gives you 5 gigs of storage and unmetered bandwidth. They do have some image size restrictions and limit videos to 10 minutes. Here's a link:
