I base this on my discussion with the person responsible for making this happen at the Sun/Sol. I know that we (you, me and Gene) are somewhat suspect of what we hear from casino employees/management, however, in this instance, it will be hard for him to have fibbed to me.
After all, once they get the table sensors in operation and the cage sensors going, it will be obvious that the $1 are excluded if they continue to manually count them. Or if the $3 blackjack table does not alert if a bet is less than $3.
However, I did ask about the costs associated with tagging the $1's (the inference being if they cost more than $1 to make...) and he said that the package deal made the overall costs acceptable.
