As a general rule, a mouse is a mouse is a mouse. Same for keyboards.

For a given platform (windows, apple, etc) any mouse will pretty much work on any 'puter.

Yeah, there are some obscure exceptions, without a doubt. But yeah, a Dell mouse will work on a Compaq.

The only difference might be the capability of the mouse (i.e., two-button with scroll wheel vs three-button, or two-buttonw without scroll wheel. - that type of thing.
