There were posts on this chip last week, asking why TCR did not list
it as a C & J. The answer is because I don't believe that it IS a C & J.
Many of the H&C's are difficult to label because of the many different
molds. My 3 chips of this G-N have pebbly surfaces on the hats, not slick
& shiny. They are deep like C & J and will have somewhat of a gloss on an
uncirculated chip, but do not meet all of my requirements of a C & J. I have
had this disagreement with other collectors concerning other H&C chips.
This is only my opinion and I remain open minded on the subject. <G>
Since this chip was made during the conversion of the C & J and Burt Co.
takeover, they may have used both company's molds and we are looking at
two different chips.
