Since the pictures are usually gone anyway when these ID posts go to the archives, maybe we should start including a simple chip description with these IDs? It would make the board archives more valuable. This is how I would describe some of Dave's chips...but even just the text and mold would be great:

"JFP", chain mold, oval monogram font
"PWF", chain mold, script font
"WLC", circles mold, circular monogram font
"GAL", harp mold, a.nouveau block font
"CLD", hub mold, lozenge monogram
