I expect to pay about $140-$175 each for the type I'm looking for. I also checked with several US and Canadian manufacturers who know what I'm looking for, but they no longer build round with 5/4 stock (2-pc rim w/o metal fastners). They end staple the louvers, also... something that I do not care for.

I'm using 1x6 KD Southen Yellow Pine (flat grain, clear) V joint; cherrypicked each piece. So far it's accepting the prime and paint well. Gave it 2 coats of each in the garage, first. If I can't find four vents by this Fall I'll pull out the old router and build them myself..
