I logged into my paypal account tonight to send some money and was greeted with the following:
Aug. 16, 2006: We have recently reviewed your account and have noticed that you are selling items on your website that violate our Acceptable Use Policy. We value you as a member of our community and wish to continue our relationship, so we ask that you remove all items from your website that violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
Please note that subsequent violations will result in the closure of your account.
Needless to say, I was PISSED OFF. I looked all over their acceptable use policy and could not find anything I was in violation of, so I called them. After some time, the lady asked me if I was selling chips. I told her that yes, on occasion I did sell chips. She said that is the problem. She said they flagged that word in one my transactions.
I have sent an email to their dispute resolution center asking them to explain exactly what it is they have a problem with and to point it out to me in their usage agreement.
I will let you know what happens. But, in the meantime, I would make sure that none of my paypal transactions contain the word chips!
