Your comments may have some validity Don. But what about those club members who do not collect Nevada? Shouldn't they have the same or similar benefits for new information in the areas they specialize in ... or is it just Nevada collectors who are impatient?
Forgive me ... I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but at least Nevada chip collectors have the benefit of a Gaming Control Board which publishes monthly approvals for new chip releases that is available to the public. We don't have that in A.C. and I'm not too sure of other gaming juristictions throughout the country.
In addition; each issue of the club magazine has an extensive illustrated listing of new Nevada chips that have been released since the previous quarter ... so to my way of thinking 'the club' is doing its part.
I can share with you from personal experience that my catalog sales dropped off dramatically after publishing most of that information for free on my website. In fact, that's one of the prime reasons I've decided not to publish a 2006 Edition of my A.C. Catalog.
My post is not intended to be argumentive or defensive ... but educational and informative from a kinder, gentler, 'old-timer' who just turned 68 and "who doesn't like to see changes... but to maintain the satus quo."
Damnnn; I wish that new-blood I keep hearing about would kick into gear and give us old-timers a rest!!
