The few really vocal slab free people make all of us oppose slabbing look like a bunch of nuts. It is embarassing. They take something which is a hobby for most of us, and a business for a few and turn it into some kind of a religious crusade where anyone who disagrees with them even in part is EVIL and must be destroyed.

I am against slabbing chips and would never buy a slabbed chip. But I would never sign that pledge as written of allow these anti-slabbers to pretend to speak for me. I disagree with slabbers - not hate them. They are misguided - not evil.

The guy posts a nice chip. He is proud of it and has every right to be. He does not show a picture of a slab or mention slabbing. He says nothing about windows or slander or anything else. Yet some people are so filled with hate (and envy?) that the first thing they do is start personal attacks. This hobby is in more danger from those who want to impose their values on everyone who collects chips then from all of the slabbers, fakers and repair artists combined.
