Greetings,
The possibility that the Arrowhead Inn chips were used at two clubs made me think about something else. Ben Marden, who ran the Riviera in Fort Lee, NJ, also ran the Colonial Inn in Hallandale, Fla., during the winter season. Since, as far as I know, no chips from the Colonial Inn have turned up, what do you other illegal chip fans think is the likelihood that the Riviera chips were used at the Colonial?
Also, the Saratoga casinos were only open during the August racing season. I assume their equipment followed Lansky, Costelo, Adonis, et al, to Florida for the winter. Roulette wheels, chemmy and crap tables and the like were too expensive even then to just sit around under sheets for 11 months. Could the chips have gone south as well? Maybe that's why Florida ilegals aren't as plentiful as those from other locales.
Cheers,
Russ
