After checking this weekend, we have found there were two sets of these chips aboard the "Independence." The pictures you saw on the article someone kindly posted are exactly the same chips. Here is the chip/color breakdown:
200 White
150 Red
100 Blue
50 Yellow (Gold)
This set is in it's original wooden case, brown, with a grey cover, green felt interior. They have not been open/used, except, to take the pictures I have. All historical information and documentation can be provided to those interested. New pictures can be taken, but, as the collection is in a vault, it would have to be done at a later date. These are the REAL DEAL. Thanks once again for all the help via phone and e-mail. If the person who posted the article would do so again, it would be very much appreciated. I asked why there were two sets, "on Air Force One, there is a backup for everything" was the reply.
