Interesting how you have taken an excerpt from my post Stu rather than comment on it verbatim, thus it changes the emphasis of what i said to give your argument more substance. The word you conveiniently omitted was 'consistently'. The true gauge of poker is how you perform over a long period of time. Anybody can beat anybody during one isolated session/tournament/hand just as anyone can hit a number on a roulette wheel but eventually that roulette wheel will break you and thats a statistical certainty, whereas a poker player is never 'statistically certain' to lose their money as poker has an element of skill.
