Unlike some of the smaller operators of illegal gaming clubs, the Maceo's were not able to hide their wealth so easily. Even though everyone knew they were involved in the industry, they still needed to disquise their earnings. The Maceo's owned many legitimate businesses which they sometimes used to funnel their gaming proceeds through. I would guess this cabin rental camp would be one of them. I have never heard of this place being involved in gambing, but it would not surprise me if a card game or two happened there.
