The Food Network’s new ‘Challenge Series’ is always in search of the best, be it from small town cook-outs to world championships. Whether they’re acclaimed culinary wizards or wanna-bes in a funny apron, their pursuit of bragging rights and cold-hard cash makes for great television. Next up for the series is the boastful title of America’s Best Sandwich maker. Contestants will compete in various categories such as breakfast, turkey, salad and signature with the winner taking home the title and $10,000. The requirements are basic; must work in or own a deli and have innovative recipes to take to battle.
