Yeah, but the "kid"......was still able to get egg creams from a real fountain
...the last of those places was on Ave N, and closed in about '84.
Sign of the times...there is now only ONE seltzer distributor left in Brooklyn (Canarsie)...
...but I'm technically a kid. Ebbets Field was already housing projects when I was born.
