I know that there was a lot of segregation in Vegas, so maybe...??

Some of the old ads refer to "The Great White Way", and the term "politically correct" hadn't been invented yet.

And of course the word "gay" had an entirely different meaning then... places advertised themselves as "The gayest spot..."
