Chuck, I think that's a nice chip and a great cause. Most people know about the Susan Komen Foundation, but very few know the story about the people behind it. Susan was Susan Goodman from Peoria, Illinois. She married a guy named Stan Komen who owned Village Liquors. Her Father was a real estate developer named Marvin Goodman. She got breast cancer and died in the early '80's. Her sister, Nancy had moved to Dallas where she met and married a guy named Norman Brinker. The marriage worked out well for both of them, she was beautiful and he owned Brinker International, little restuarant chain you probably never heard of. But I bet you've heard of Chili's, On The Border, etc . Yup, that's Brinker International! Needless to say she had the money and the influence to start the Foundation that honors her sisters name and memory. In all of the years I lived in Peoria I never heard anyone say a negative word about either girl or the charity and in this day that's something. Jim
