Let me rephrase my question...

It is my assumption that the notching process is something that takes place after a chip is made.

To your knowledge, is this correct?

If so, is the notching process something unique, i.e., a secret process that only chip makers know how to do, or perhaps they have specialized equipment to do it with?

The point being, without some form of authentication, how do the 3 - 20 you state to be out there stand apart from what the known chip tampering people can create?

As for me attempting to notch perfectly good chips, go ask Mr. Reilly what I think about his Anti-Slabbing statement that hangs around his neck! mad

(And if you talk with him, just don't confuse that sentiment with my opinion about slabbing, as I remain Anti-Slabbing!)

Thank you.

Jim
