Had an experience at the convention, thought I'd share so others may take more care.
Met a fellow chipper and looked at some of his traders. Found several I needed. Told him I'd get my traders and let him look thru.
He told me I had X number of dollars in value in the ones I picked out. A bit high but still within reason.
I brought my traders down and while trying to do two things at once I let him look thru the chips. He picked out several and said that looked fair. I looked at the ones he picked out and saw what they were but didn't put two and two together right away as I was talking to someone else at the time.
Turned out that just one of the chips he picked out from my traders was valued at $20 more than all the ones I got from him, plus he still had my other chips. Mine were all valued on the chip flip so he should have known the values.
Lesson learned...look more closely at what someone is trading...know what you have and what the other person received. All in all, I'm probably out double what he gave me.
Won't happen again! Hope others take notice also and watch trades closely.
