Mint Club ran from '58-'60 and must have been next door to the New China Club. Small crowns for New China and some singular Christy & Jones for Dick and Luke. (One issue, you'd want the dime chip at R-9)
Dwayne's got the right idea, sending these images along to someone who'll treat them right and show 'em to folks who care. Folks in the club want to see stuff like this. I know I always wonder what was going on in the room when the chip I'm holding was on the felt. Who can't be thinking about the faces in the pictures and placing them in context. Most of those Keno players were in The Big One as part of the Greatest Generation and didn't they give us a grand world! I'm looking for my Dad in these pics for sure... so that's what he did for fun outside of building our little town and teaching me to field grounders the right way. Pretty cool Mark, thank you and thank Wayne.
The New China Club site and probably The Mint Club's are presently a gravel parking lot.
BTW, info on Wayne's next book?
