Your analogy takes the wrong tact most likely because your not actually involved in the politcal process and campaign influence. I put money behind candidates and policies that I agree with and do not lend financial support to those policies and activities that I don't.

The fact that the club denies membership based on a certain criteria is irrelevant to me.
