If the club's position is so clear, why is there a need for a slabfree chapter to further muddy the waters? What is the purpose exactly of the slabfree pledge?

The reality is that (like with many issues) certain members have gone off the perverbial deep end and instead of seeking to strengthen and improve the club's position, they cling to the status quo...
