I keep wondering, what if I could get the chips out.

The major question is if the plastic (I don't think it's Lucite...) has bonded to the chips, or if they are suspended enough so that someone could carefully remove the clear plastic?

If I can find a cheap chip, encased in this "stuff", it would be an entertaining challenge. If I ruin it, not much of a loss.
