It seems to me that most folks here are responding to this from their own individual perspectives as collectors. I am not.
I am viewing this from a couple of alternate perspectives
1 - the potential non-educated buyers that are buying chips in droves these days on ebay and elsewhere.
2 - the artist/designer/owner of the original chips who deserves some protection of his/her original works.
My 2 cents.
