These started off as "commemorative" to the Condado Beach chips. At the time there were assurances that "Commenrative" and even "2006" would be on the inlays, but the chip maker would not use the name "Condado Beach" so the name changed to "Coconut Beach" and the "commemorative" and "2006" tagging has been dropped.
Early in the concept I posted a message of protest, but was politely rebuffed. Another individual has been more vociferous on the issue, but has been beaten down.
Some interesting reading, if one wants to read through it, but it does appear to me that member Roland Schoff has instigated this effort, through a series of previous failures and even confesses that these efforts will likely raise the ires of the membership.
Blue Chip is offering a new mold (kind of) called a Medium Greek Key. I am not sure who to give scan credit to, although the artwork is credited to Johnny 5.
This will need to be added to the Fakes, Fantasy and Counterfeit pages of the website, providing these actually get made.
