They want payment direct, often saying their Paypal account got hacked.

Don't use Western Union for paying for anything on eBay! (unless you know the seller)

There's a scam going on where people hijack an account, post lots of items for rediculous low prices, mostly they list in the wrong area as well, like under Clothing and are selling cameras, TVs and electronics. They use the powerlister tool and just slam eBay with the same 20-40 items.

Then they ask you to contact them first, before paying and offer a discount. email address is in bold, in the listing.

They ask for all kinds of personal information, possibly phishing for more accounts to steal. They demand Western Union payments, outside of the eBay/Paypal system.

You get nothing, they get the money... and run.

Who knows how many people send money, before eBay can remove the auctions.
