The thread was really about two topics.

• Cheating by the site operators - I don't think this is prevalent on the major sites.
• Cheating by players on a site. I believe that this occurs - just not sure it is as rampant as suggested.

  I would think that the second kind of activity could be detected by software. Does anyone know if the site operators are doing this? I would guess that they wouldn't advertise it if they were - just make the cheaters devise new schemes. If dealers and floor people can spot it in a casino I think that software could be written to detect it as well. This seems like the biggest threat to the success of the poker sites - other than legislation outlawing it - and I would think it would be a very high priority for them.
