I share most of your feelings on this. As a buyer, you offer friendly communication and pay in a timely manner - your work is done. For the seller to not provide feedback at that point is inappropriate. If all sellers had that philosophy, there would not be a lot of feed back left on either side. I am not a big fan of this approach by sellers.

I do have a slightly different approach in that I do leave feedback (even though I do not agree with the seller's approach). Almost without fail, they provide the advertised positive feedback.

All that being said, I have to admit, I have come real close to your exact approach on many occasions.
