To whom is he blowing the whistle? Thats just the point disgruntled employee goes and does what? Posts a message on a poker forum that says XYZ site is rigged. If a disgrunteled employee in Nevada has evidence that a casino altered slot machines to never pay a jackpot he could go to Gaming Control Board with his allegations and they could actually investigate them. Who does disgrunteled employee of XYZ Poker.com go to?

An employee with evidence could go straight to the press, where he could cause more damage than if there were a GCB to go to.

Who are they hiding it from? Its not like the site allows you to just pop in and examine their software.

Once again, Pete, an internet poker site is a real company... with investors. The software is NOT a private issue.

Suppose I knew. Lets just pretend for a second that I knew XYZ poker site was rigged. Then what? How would that translate to the instant loss of all XYZ's business.

Okay Pete, if you played in XYZ poker site and you knew it was rigged what would you do? The answer is that you would remove your money from XYZ, open an account at ABC and play there. It costs you nothing and it takes a few seconds. Since news travels quite quickly on the internet, you can assume that players would find out quickly what was going on and act in kind.

BTW getting caught cheating doesn't necessarily mean the loss of all business. A few years back the venetian got caught rigging a drawing, they paid a large fine, but they still have customers.

That would be an interesting analog if the only reason people went to the Venetian was to participate in drawings.

People were still making deposits to PokerSpot even after widespread complaints of non-payment by the site were being posted on poker forums.

I've never heard of PokerSpot... and that may be why.
