Travis; Lots of early A.C. chips are found this way. Not only will sunlight have an efffect on center inlays ... but so will UV light from floursecent fixtures, smoke, and cooking grease.

Have you ever gone into a coffee shop, local tavern, or a barber shop, where the proprietor has the first dollar bill mounted in a frame on display behind the register which represents his first sale? You will most often find that dollar is discolored similarly as your chip on the exposed side ... but the other (protected) side is perfect.

Is your chip nice and original on the other side?
