1. You can set up you email to send out an automatically reply when you are gone so at least people know that your email was received.
2. Not replying within a day or so is to be expected - not replying in a week or two is NOT>
3. If you can not discharge your duties in a timely manner, you should either not take the job or if it proves too much, then you should resign and let someone else who might do a better job take over.
4. This is NOT a one time problem, but a recurring problem that has been going on now for OVER a year with no signs of improvement.
5. The benifit of the club library at this point appears for one individual to get reference books for free for themselves, in my 2c.
6. If I am wrong, I normally am, I am sure someone will let me know.
7. To date so far, not only is there a problem, but there was a solution (I was willing at one point to take over the postion - and was turned down). I do not know that I would be so willing anymore. After being turned down more than once for various postions that I have volunteered for, I am starting to wonder what it is about this club that some people just do not appear to be 'wanted'?
Oh well, such is life. I blew off enough steam for one day.
Have a good one!
