All the CIC have the circles when they are made, kind of like cross hatching on a clay chip. They are a little rough when made. To clean up the roughness they put them in a sort of rock tumbler like the one that polishes stones. It is just meant to clean them up not take off the circles. When the Osborn chips were made the person that was running the tumbler would go to dinner because they were made after hours (I wonder why?). When he would return they were over tumbled and ended up polished. The person running the machine did not really know the timing for tumbling. So any polished CIC are over tumbled. I think you will find out that this is true.
Having fun Steve
