My brother bid on and won two of the earlier auctions from the seller in question. I myself was a little suspicous after the Resorts 1a closed. The seller noted that grandmom or grandmother got $120 some dollars. The first explanation was he was selling for his mother-in-law. I also thought that there was a little too much hype. Two days left, One day left, Hours to go. I contacted the seller who appears to have stoped his auctions or at least stopped posting his ads on this board. I was offered no explanation but I was offered a full refund. My brother is satisfied with the chips he received at the price he paid. Now before anyone thinks that he or I are happy with the auctions and ebay as a whole let me say the opposite is true. I consider this a valuable lesson of life that didn't really cost that much when you take into account that the chips are in very good condition and the end price is what could be considered a good deal. Would it have been better to get them at a lower uninflated price? Why would anyone have to ask? Of course it would have been nice. Since I'm sure that Pete is reading this I'd like to just ask,Wouldn't you rather have gotten maybe a little less for the chips and have been able to sell them all?
I doubt that he will be able to auction the rest of the chips as easy as this was. But if he was truly bidding on his own auctions doesn't everyone know that he will find a way to get around whatever ebay does to him? Perhaps he was encouraged by some of the respones to his questions and postings on the board. Hopefully noone got burned too bad.
I'm sure this will generate some response, but I'm ready.
