Doug had two of the older $5 Golden Nugget, Las Vegas chips in his auction #40 last month. These are the ones that have the "rooming house" notation on them. He indicated that the type face was significantly different on the inlay. I haven't seen the chips, but from the color scans on the cover of the auction catalog, it appears to me that the "thick" typeface is the result of the maker photocopying the original art for a reorder (which tends to make lines bolder). Bidder M.G. thought the thick version was worth 10x book on this one. Would be interested in hearing comments from those who have (or have seen) both varieties.

Personally, I'd like to collect both, but wouldn't pay much of a premium for the second one.
