Hello, about a month ago I sold a chip on e-bay to a fellow club member. My auction clearly stated that insurance was available for the chip at 1.85 extra if desired. The invoice also said insurance was optional. Well the person never received their chip (either lost or stolen once in the post offices control). Now the buyer is claiming I owe him a refund. I said that would be possible if he had bought insurance but since he did not there isn't anything I could do. I offered a 25 dollar credit toward other chips I had (which have since ended). He is still understandably unhappy and wants a refund claiming that I owe him the money or the chip which I have neither. My question for fellow club members is if he did not buy insurance why is he claiming the code of ethics has anything to do with the loss of the chip. The post office lost the chip, not me. Please offer any help as this is very frustrating. Thanks, Steve Peters
