Since when is the seller obligated to take full responsibility? What if the buyer gets it and says he didn't? If I cash a check and I say I didn't get, the buyer can prove I got it. If a buyer sends cash, he's taking a risk. I'm not going to automatically be responsible for every eBay transaction. Selling on eBay is not at all the same thing as dealing with other chippers here on the board. When I'm dealing with someone I know and trust, the game is much different from dealing with a stranger on eBay. With people I know and trust, I send the chips up front. On eBay sales, I clearly specify I send the chips when money is received. I also clearly specify personal checks are fine, and there is no waiting period for checks to clear. Repeat customers get preferential treatment. You obviously know a lot more about "business" than me. But I try to be fair and reasonable and honest. If a bidder thinks I'm not, he can choose not to bid.
