I understood it differently because I remember Allan going on to say that if everybody did the same thing that pete was doing... it would save Allan and his coauthors a lot of time and trouble and they wouldn't have to do so much additional outside research for their book. They could just sit back and get everything they needs from posts such as pete's.

This seemed a rather silly approach and I took it to be tongue-in-cheek and a backhanded slap in the face to pete.

Unfortunately, the original posts has "disappeared" from the board.

Greg, is there any evidence that anyone has "hacked" the board and deleted posts other than the person who first posted a message?
