I don't know why there is confusion between "rarity" and "value". Both terms are relative, there are no absolutes. Value is determined by supply and demand. Rarity is a description of how often a particular chip is seen in relation to others. Usually the better the supply the lower the price and vice versa. But this is not always true. I bet there are more AC Playboy $1 chips out there than there are of most $5 LE's. The Playboy chip goes for $20 to $25 and most $5 LE's sell for under $10. The difference is that many more collectors want the Playboy chip and that drives the value up. Just because something is rare does not make it valuable.
