Good point. Although the vast majority of drives and files are damaged for other reasons so it would still be MUCH better than not backing up at all. The problem with backups is that no one will do them unless they are VERY EASY. It reminds me of when I first got in the restaurant business. The boss hung up a board with a bunch of nails in it for us to hang all the brooms, mops, etc. on. He told me to drill holes in all the brooms so they could be hung up. I did so, and did a real nice job. All the holes were nice and neat and just big enough to hang on the nails. He came back and gave me a 1/2" bit and told me to do it again. I showed him that they all fit, but he said that if they didn't get it on the first try then they would just lean it up against the wall. The hole had to be as big as possible if we wanted them hung up. He was right.
