making a Chipco-like product, which has been described as a ceramic chip. Chipco themselves have stated that the manufacturing process (of the blanks) does involve higher temepratures, which I also think is necessary in ceramic manufacturing.
In looking at the in-line photos (of the thread), they look just like Chipco made them.
As noted in the thread, a ChipTalk.net individual "tested" the Chinese manufacturer by supplying some hi-res scans of existing home-game chips. The manufacturer then duplicated the artwork and made chips.
Although the artwork used was originally put on ASM chips (Nevada Jack mold I believe), my point is, and some of the discussion there was, it would be a simple matter to submit hi-res scans of current, in-play Chipco chips and get all the duplicates you could want.
Or how about duplicates of the Harrah's sailboat, or maybe all those high-value Colorado Chipcos?
