I've been unemployed for a little over a year - the result of layoffs/cutbacks. Like anyone else in the same situation, I've had make adjustments on what's important enough to keep.
A 50% increase in anything seems very high and the Club probably should have had a dues increase a few years back. There is no question that the magazine is well put together and, subscription-wise, could stand on its own.
Just a thought... Maybe the Club should consider offering the magazine as a subscription to non-members who wish to subscribe. Of course, at a higher rate than the membership pays. Another option would be to sell it at a few newstands and see what happens.
Anyway, when it's all said and done, there are two things I don't want to do without: my Club membership/magazine and my subscription to Yankeeİ magazine.
And that's my one and a half cents...
