I emailed the seller asking how he arrived at his description of terming this chip "Very Rare". Here is his email reply.

"This is a drop chip only and does not circulate for play. The dealers do
not use these in the game, these chips are kept only in dealers trays.
They pull 3 $1 chips from the pot into their tray and drop one of these.
To actually be able to get one of these chips is very rare as they are not
supposed to be given out."

I guess this guy has never heard of the casino cage at Hard Rock where virtually any current/recent chip can be gotten at face value.
