Boy, I love this board and hobby! Lousy day at work and it sure is fun to tuck into the daily doin's here. This preamble is just to let you know I'm not complaining (fingers crossed) in this here post, just offering up some ideas!

Heard the news about the convention poker tournament with the new "Any Two Will Do" structure and was bemused to see the entry was $100 this year. Hmm, how about a 10 player satellite at $10 each to make up for the Hundy spent on the poker entry? Some sort of informal thing at one of the Riv tables Wednesday or something.

So then the thing about the dues came up. Soon as the granddaughters are in bed tonight, I'll open up that 2nd Widmer Bros. Hefeweizen and wade into the postings over at the club board. Meantime I'll throw this out. Those of us who would have spent the $300 for a LM could pony up $45 for a ten player satellite, winner gets the honor of being a lifer!

The Travis Bickle Satellite! I had another idea along this line that would only entail a crackpot ChipBoard post to qualify for entry. I started to list some parameters for crackpot posts but was afraid that too many would recognize themselves and heaven knows, TROs are only effective to a certain point and then... Of course, around here the Crackpot satellite would unfortunately end up being a multi-table affair anyway. The winner would get a new Tin-Foil Hat and a seat on the Self-Appointed Throne of Greatness!
